Vickey Hart

Hello,

My name is Vickey Simmons-Hart, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor. My educational background includes a bachelor of science in management, a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis on adult education and training, and a master of science in clinical mental health counseling. Additionally, my post-graduate studies explore the impact of the Black Superwoman Schema on psychological help-seeking in Black women. 
I have two decades of counseling experience in higher education, child welfare, and behavioral health. I have worked with children and adults in diverse populations throughout the Phoenix metro area.

My professional perspective and approach to healing are strengths-based, client-centric, rooted in evidence, and practical. I have experience serving populations that include children, adults, families, and couples. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. 
Treatment approaches include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting (BSP), Expressive Processing, and Play Therapy. 

I hold a safe, judgment-free, lively therapeutic environment to facilitate inclusivity and mental wellness. I believe YOU are the expert on YOUR own life, and the keys to conquering life’s challenges are already within YOUR reach and at YOUR disposal. LGBTQIA+ positive, Sex positive, Kink positive.
